MinHy is a new method for mutation detection in molecular diagnostics

A new method for the determination of specific DNA-variants in a sample (using hybridization), with a minimal set of probes and no need for parallel reference measuring. Very useful for mutation detection in molecular diagnostics. 

When testing samples of mixed genomic sequence variants, mutation detection and/or identification is often complex. Hybridisation techniques such as microarrays or lab-on-chips for detecting DNA mutations are affordable, widely used and flexible. However, with these techniques it remains a challenge to obtain a clear quantitative interpretation of the data. Errors due to concentration variations in the sample remain a problem. Accordingly, an improved and simpler method for the realiable identification and/or quantification of mutant polynucleotides in a sample is still required.
